A New Crum Film

Okay, so this isn't that great (except for the awesome acting by Nathaniel P.) - You can view the new film at my blog or on google video. There are some bad edits and some stupid color filters (which messed up the image quality, but you should still check it out).

Sweet movie Ben. The use of music and the subtle effects were very nice. It reminded me of the Ringo scene along the river in "A Hard Day's Night" although from a mood-inducing perspective your movie is better. Make more.

Thanks PDC, though I must admit, I don't remember anything about that movie and don't really like being compared to Richard Starkey

hey, the man paid you a compliment, ben crum. a hard day's night is one of the greatest, and most influencial movies of the sixties, bringing together elements of cinema verite, the new wave, and a surrealistic, innovative cutting style by the director richard lester - putting this all together into one formidable package that continues to influence modern film to this day.

to give you a very small example, the tony/ridley scott style of filmmaking would not exist without a hard day's night. you may or may not like their work, but i can give you a billion other examples and reasons that i won't go into here.

so . . . if someone says your film is as good as a hard day's night, you say thank you, and just be honored that anyone would dream of paying you such a high and exalted compliment.

i do agree that your movie is a vey effect mood piece though :-)
