Ms. Alaska

Mom, I am very interested in hearing what you have to say about John McCain's running mate, Gov. Sarah Palin. When I first heard his pick I thought it was an awesome move, now I am not so sure, but can she be groomed to be a viable political force? I like that she is mold-able (she doesn't have a history, legacy, or reputation to live up to).

So what do you think?

My initial reaction was "good political move by McCain" followed closely by "Can I vote for a women?". I don't know anything about the woman (except that she has five children--that's a point in her favor, but may also make me more reluctant to consider voting for her), so I withhold any futher opinions until reading more about her.

That "women" should have been "woman".

I don't see why women should have to change the spelling of their word to separate themselves from the shadow of males. Perhaps if someone could suggest a new spelling of (pardon my French) "man" we would be finally to a place of equality where women are better.
