2-4-Tuesday

I have been thinking a lot about what song to do this week. I kept coming up with songs where the re-make is soooo obviously better than the original (you can guess what these may have been) but I wanted to do something where there was such a different approach to the song that they were almost different songs entirely. This track, Such Great Heights, started out as a techno-beated love song (you should check out the music video or the Apple rip-off) and then got taken into an entirely different direction.

Well, enough jibber-jabber. Time to listen and vote.

This is a sweet picture in real life

In case you haven't been on facebook this week... I just want to let you know that Katie (that girl I'm marrying) has posted a selection of our engagement photos and you should check them out, and post silly comments or cute comments about them, or about random things that interest you, because those comments are probably going to be read by a bunch of people who have never heard of you. I mean... you could plug your blog or your political agenda and you would have a whole new crowd of baby birds just waiting to get fed.

Music on a Monday

I know I post about the same artists over and over again and, if you don't like my music, this may get old... sorry.

This song from Elvis Perkins (this video was only posted 11 hours ago) is really good. Michal and I had the opportunity to see Perkins live in concert a couple months ago. Great show.

Unfortunately the only show he has listed in his tour section on MySpace is the New Orleans Jazz Fest in April --- I don't think we'll be making it down for that one.
